Owners: Norwegian Cruise Lines
Penthouse cabin 11512 bedroom facing starboard, top, and 11512 sitting area facing port, bottom.
Mini-suite 11598 facing port.
Category II inside cabin 11587 facing starboard
A category G obstructed view outside cabin on Deck 8, facing starboard, top. A category J inside cabin on Deck 8, facing port.
Decks 11 through 8 are devoted to NORWEGIAN PEARL's accommodation, ranging from balconied Penthouses to inside category J's. On forward Deck 11, there is an interesting bridge observation area, but during my short time on board, the windows to the wheelhouse were curtained.
From top to bottom: the outer portion of Blue Lagoon, facing forward; the outer portion of Mambo's, facing forward; the inner portion of Mambo's, facing forward; the Crystal Atrium facing forward from the terrace; the Java Cafe facing starboard from the Deck 8 Crystal Atrium terrace.
On midships Deck 8, two restaurants flank the balcony of the Crystal Atrium. On the port side, there is the 94 seat Blue Lagoon, which offers "comfort food" on a 24-hour basis. On the starboard side, there is the 96 seat Mambo's Latin Tapas Restaurant which offers spicy Latin-themed specialties. The lower portion of the atrium is accessed by a grand staircase on the port side, a slight change from the last ship in the series, PRIDE OF HAWAI'I, which featured the stairs forward. The coffee bar has been moved to the forward starboard corner, providing space for a giant LED screen to broadcast images with an unencumbered view on the forward bulkhead. The rest of Deck 8 is devoted to passenger accommodation.
Top to bottom: The starboard promenade, facing aft; a detail of the bulkhead artwork; starboard promenade, facing forward.
Deck 7 is entirely devoted to public areas and is fully encircled by a sheltered promenade, its inboard bulkheads festooned with cartoonish art, another Star Cruises' SUPERSTAR LEO legacy visited upon NCL.
The Stardust Theater facing forward from starboard, top, and facing port, bottom.
The first in the line of public rooms is the balcony of the three deck high Stardust Theater. The space accommodates 1,042 passengers. It's decor is inspired by European Art Nouveau and the main stage curtain depicts a peacock.
Facing aft along the port Trade Winds boutique corridor.
The forward vestibule follows the Stardust balcony and continues aft via two passageways that wind through the Trade Winds Boutique area. The placement of the boutiques here in lieu of the disco is thus far a PEARL exclusive in the series of STAR class ships.
Top, the Lotus Garden, facing forward. Bottom, the Teppanyaki Room, facing port.
Aft of the boutique on Deck 7, the passage continues on the starboard side with the upper level of what might be deemed the NORWEGIAN PEARL's second atrium, a combination of the Asian dining venues and a grand staircase with an open lobby that serves the Bar Central area. The Japanese/Thai/Chinese Lotus Garden is an extra tarrif ($10) restaurant that seats 180, including a sushi bar (12.50) and the 32 seat Teppanyaki Room ($20). The Teppanyaki Room, especially, has bold and stimulating tribal artwork and a palette of rich colors.
